Terms of Service
HiBonus is operated by KT Ventures LLC. By creating an account or using HiBonus, you agree to these terms.
What HiBonus Does
HiBonus is a tracking tool that helps you manage bank bonus requirements, deadlines, and earnings. We do not provide financial advice, and we are not affiliated with any bank or financial institution.
Your Account
You may create one account per person. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your login credentials secure. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are used abusively.
Plaid Integration
Pro users may connect bank accounts through Plaid, a third-party service. When you link a bank, you authorize Plaid to access your transaction data on your behalf. HiBonus receives transaction details (amounts, dates, categories) and balance information to auto-track your bonus progress. We never store your bank login credentials — Plaid handles authentication directly.
No Guarantees
HiBonus tracks your deadlines and requirements, but we cannot guarantee that any bank will pay a bonus. Banks set their own rules and can change or revoke offers at any time. Meeting all tracked requirements does not guarantee a payout.
Limitation of Liability
HiBonus is not liable for missed bonuses, incorrect bank data, Plaid service outages, or any financial losses resulting from your use of the service. Use HiBonus as a tracking aid, not as your sole source of truth.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of HiBonus after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
Privacy Policy
Data We Collect
- Account info: Your email address and password (hashed by Supabase — never stored in plaintext).
- App data: Bank accounts you track, progress logs, deadlines, your ChexSystems count, and notification preferences.
- Plaid data (Pro users): If you link a bank via Plaid, we receive your institution name, account name and last four digits, account type, balances, and transaction history (amount, date, and category). Your Plaid access token is stored server-side only — no bank credentials ever touch HiBonus.
- Email: Your email address is used to send deadline reminder emails via Resend.
What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not run advertising or ad tracking.
- We do not share your data with anyone except Plaid (to sync transactions you authorized).
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is kept as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at henrythe8th@proton.me.
Cookies & Analytics
HiBonus uses a Supabase authentication session cookie. We do not currently use any analytics or tracking tools.

Risk Disclosure
Bank bonuses can be a great way to earn extra income, but there are a few things you should understand before you start.
ChexSystems
Opening multiple bank accounts generates inquiries on your ChexSystems report. Too many in a short period can lead to banks denying new account applications. HiBonus tracks your ChexSystems count to help you stay aware, but the decision to open accounts is always yours.
Hard Credit Inquiries
Some banks perform a hard credit pull when you open an account, especially for credit cards or certain checking accounts. This can temporarily lower your credit score.
Don't Overextend
Taking on more bonuses than you can track increases the risk of missing deadlines and losing out on payouts. HiBonus helps you stay organized, but only you know your capacity.
Not Financial Advice
HiBonus is a tracking tool, not a financial advisor. We organize your deadlines and requirements — we don't tell you which accounts to open or close.
Bank Discretion
Banks can change or revoke bonus offers at any time. Meeting all tracked requirements does not guarantee a payout — banks make the final decision.
Tax Implications
Bank bonuses are generally considered taxable income (reported on form 1099-INT). Consult a tax professional for your specific situation.
